Job summary
Our Community inpatient rehabilitation wards at Gosport War Memorial Hospital have exciting positions available for Registered Nurses with an interest and passion for caring for patients with complex needs requiring a period of rehabilitation or end of life care.
Our wards admit patients directly from their homes or from acute care providers and have close links with our community colleagues.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to provide a high standard of care and become part of a small friendly committed team delivering excellent patient centred care.

Successful Candidates can expect;
*Protected supernumery induction programme
*Buddy system
*Training opportunities including; intravenous therapies, Clinical supervision, phlebotomy, male catheterisation, peripheral cannulation.
*Mentorship and degree/masters pathways
*Revalidation training and portfolio matrix
*Preceptorship course for newly qualified nurses.

Main duties of the job
*To provide high standards of care for patients and their families by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care without direct supervision.
*Assist in ward management, taking charge of the area in the absence of the clinical sister or ward manager.
