Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen in Community Urology and Stoma Appliance Prescribing Service (CUSAP)
The CUSAP Prescription Coordinators will work with the nursing team in providing a high quality, efficient and effective service to patients requiring NHS prescriptions for Urology and stoma products. The role requires working without direct supervision, and effective communication skills. The post holder will be taking telephone calls/emails from patients and their carers and generating prescriptions and arranging timely delivery of these essential clinical items, among other administrative duties.

Main duties of the job
The prescribing co-ordinator will work with the Advanced Clinical Nurse Specialist and wider nursing team, providing a high quality, efficient and effective service to patients.
The job requires working without direct supervision in an office environment based in Fareham Health Centre, Fareham, Hants
The post holder will assume responsibility for telephone calls and emails frorm patients, carers and health care professionals in relation to prescriptions for catheters, stomas and related products, work within relevant legal and ethical frameworks in accordance with organisational protocols and policies.
The prescription co-ordinator will have a caring disposition and excellent communication skills. They will continue to develop in their role through the acquisition of administrative skills, competencies and knowledge to become proficient and competent in their role.
