Job summary
We are recruiting for a Community Nurse who wishes to join our team on the Isle of Wight. You should share our passion and drive to ensure that our patients and staff receive quality and compassionate care and work with us to ensure the Trust continues its journey towards great people, great place.
We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Integrated Community Nursing Service. Community nursing is changing rapidly we provide all aspects of nursing care at home for many patients who would have traditionally remained in hospital.
The three locality teams work closely with our colleagues from Earl Mountbatten Hospice, Community Rapid Response, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, GPs, Practice Nurses, Specialist Nurses, mainland hospitals and outside agencies, such as Age UK and the Local Authority.
We would expect you to have good interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate that you are an evidence-based practitioner.
We work across three locality teams and the position will be for one of the three localities depending on the service need. Any preferences should be made known at interview however this cannot be guaranteed.

It is essential that you have a valid driving licence to drive in the United Kingdom as the role is community based.
Clinical skills in all types of urinary catheterisation, syringe driver management, wound management and diabetes management are desirable, but not essential.
Support and training will be available to ensure safe a safe transition to working in the community setting.
A preceptorship programme is available.
