Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and skilled person to join our friendly and professionally established administration team within Elmleigh Hospital. The role is based on-site in Havant and the post holder will work alongside the multi-disciplinary team.
To provide a comprehensive administration service to the Elmleigh Team. The post holder will be responsible for the organisation of their own workload and delegated decisions/actions, as deemed appropriate by the Administration Manager or Team Leads. The post holder will be required to work as part of a team with other medical secretaries and provide cover during periods of staff absence. The needs of the service user will be the utmost priority. The principle of high quality customer care is at the heart of this role.
Main duties of the job
You must be able to:
*Organise meeting with multiple people, take minutes or a range of complex meetings.
*Work well both in a team and be able to work closely alongside the multi-disciplinary team.
*Have previous experience of working with administration systems and be able to use MS Office.
*The post holder must have previous secretarial experience.
*Excellent interpersonal communication and customer care skills.
*Have a very positive, methodical and calm approach to all aspects of their work as well as being able to multi-task.
*Have good time management skills and have the ability to prioritise their work appropriately and have a flexible approach to their work and working environment.

The final combination of Southern Health and Solent NHS Trust services is expected in late 2024, when our new organisation, to be known as Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, will be formed.
Our new Trust will continue to cater to the unique needs of different communities, making healthcare across the county more accessible, as well as offering staff more opportunities for career development, training and partnership working.
