Job summary

The Recovery College is a motivated and passionate team with an exciting opportunity for someone who is experienced at using their lived experience within their role to join the team as the Senior Peer Trainer.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will contribute to the design, delivery, and evaluation of recovery & self-management related courses, working within the co-production ethos of the college. Provide line management and leadership to identified staff and role model peer excellence within the framework of recovery education.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who can work flexibly to meet the demands of this exciting and varied position.

The team base is in Southampton however there are opportunities to work from home. We offer blended learning so confidence using technology and the ability to travel across Hampshire is essential.

  • Educational qualification related to healthcare or business/management to a higher academic level.
  • Teaching qualification (or equivalent experience) such as PTTLS. Level 3 Education or Mental Health First Aid Trainer.
  • Lived experience of using mental health services in recent years.
  • Able to utilise your own mental health recovery in a way that can inspire Hope, Agency, and Opportunity.
