Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse or allied health professional to join our senior leadership team in the Mid and North Division in Hampshire. As Head of Nursing and Professions you will provide inspirational, visible and purposeful professional clinical leadership to staff working across our Physical Health services.
This role will spend time working clinically; providing clinical leadership and supervision at the frontline. Working with our staff and partners on the most complex cases; supporting clinical risk decisions to ensure the best possible outcomes for people. The role will be responsible for clinical practice, quality and governance of physical health services within the Division, linking across the Trust where appropriate.
We provide an array of clinical services from a number of geographical bases including Alton Community Hospital, Basingstoke, Andover and Winchester, as part of the system this role works closely with system partners, patients and carers to deliver high quality and safe care.

Main duties of the job
The Head of Nursing Professions and Quality will provide inspirational, visible and purposeful professional clinical leadership to the AHP and Nursing workforce across the Division.
They will provide professional clinical expertise; advice and guidance that will drive high quality care standards and deliver recovery focused, compassionate services.
The role will be responsible for clinical practice, quality and governance of all services within the Division, linking across the Trust where appropriate.
This role will spend time working clinically; providing clinical leadership and supervision at the frontline. Working with our staff and partners on the most complex cases; supporting clinical risk decisions to ensure the best possible outcomes for people.
This role will work collaboratively with external partners; flexing across traditional boundaries of work and thinking to ensure high quality and safe clinical practice is maintained for the people that use our services and our staff.
