Job summary

Are you a creative therapist who is interested in taking on a new challenge? The role will be working across Leigh House General Adolescent Inpatient Unit and a brand-new, innovative day programme for young people with eating disorders. At the core of this programme is a systemic approach, clinically led by a systemic family therapist.

Working with a comprehensive multidisciplinary team of clinicians, you will help to develop and deliver an inpatient and day programme for young people. Creative therapy is a key intervention and highly valued in the inpatient service, not only helping to support young people but positively contributing to the therapeutic milieu.

Creative therapy interventions will be central to the day programme, alongside a range of family therapy, occupational therapy, nursing and psychologically led groups. The service will deliver evidence-based interventions to prevent the need for admission to hospital. The day programme will have strong links with community eating disorders services in CAMHS and adult services, the Closer2Home intensive home treatment service and the inpatient service.

The 10-bed inpatient service will accept referrals according to need, so as well as bringing your experience to the role, you will have opportunities for further training and development across a range of different contexts and presenting problems.
