Job summary

*Supporting the delivery of projects to advocate safer staffing
*Supporting the coordination and reporting of acuity and dependency measurement cycles
*Working in collaboration with divisional teams and corporate teams to monitor and address staffing requirements, and escalate safety risks.
*Supporting with organising and collection of data to inform safer staffing reporting
*Contribute to the development and delivery of a training package
The post holder will work across inpatient and community services reporting to the Safer Staffing Lead.
The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have the ability to work both independently and within a team. Main duties of the job
The work of the Safer Staffing project coordinator will be driven by the Safer Staffing Lead. The role is to assist the Safer Staffing Lead in supporting the corporate nursing team and Divisions to manage and develop their services in relation to safer staffing, providing timely information and analysis allowing them to be both informed and effective.
The post holder will assist to coordinate aspects that link into safer staffing e.g. acuity and dependency measurement cycles, Trust Safer Staffing packs and Safer Staffing training and education to include roadshows and workshops. The Safer Staffing coordinator will also be expected to link to the teams in the divisions and support reports for meetings for and on behalf of the safer staffing lead.
The Safer Staffing coordinator will become highly knowledgeable in the subject matter, providing support regarding the collection, use and interpretation of information to clinical leads. In addition, they will:
*Support clinicians/clinical and divisional leads to understand data and how to use reports to maximise benefits to the service
*Produce reports that triangulate data for example, if reduction of staffing levels are identified is there an increase in incident reporting or complaints.
*Promote the use of Tableau and support the Divisions with its functions.
*Ensuring the Information Governance aspects of dealing with patient data and reporting are recognised and where risks are identified processes are put in place to minimise these.
