Job summary
Would you like to support the education and training of NHS healthcare professionals? We are looking to appoint an experienced and motivated administrator to work within the training and education team at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust.
The post holder will work within the Trust's Medical Workforce and Medical Education team, to contribute to the administration of Postgraduate Medical Education.
We are looking for someone with proven administrative experience, excellent organisational and communication skills, a collaborative, can-do approach and the ability to work with different IT systems and applications.
This role involves remote working and will require on site presence to support team working and business needs.

To work with the Director of Medical Education, the Postgraduate Medical Education Team Lead, locality Tutors and the Wessex School of Psychiatry to schedule and organise face-to-face and online meetings, training and education events to support the education programme for trainee doctors in the Trust and for doctors in training in psychiatry across the Wessex region.
To provide high quality administrative support for education programmes, commissioned by Health Education Wessex, for doctors in training.
To support the Postgraduate Medical Education Team Lead in the planning, scheduling and delivery of Trust and locality induction for doctors in training.
To provide day-to-day support and administration of training and education organised by the Postgraduate Medical Education Centre. To include liaison with course leads, facilitators and speakers, the maintenance of records, preparation of materials, booking of venues, and organisation of catering.
To provide administrative support for course steering groups and other postgraduate education meetings as required. To include scheduling, booking rooms, minute taking, preparing and distributing agendas and supporting paperwork.
To undertake financial administration tasks as requested by the Postgraduate Medical Education Team Lead.
To raise purchase orders, receipt orders and query invoice payments using the NHS Shared Business Services (SBS Oracle) system.
To order stationary and supplies using the CLARES and/or SBS Oracle ordering systems.
To support users of the ACCENT study leave system and assist the Postgraduate Education Team Lead to process study leave applications. To include liaison with the Health Education Wessex Information team to submit required reporting information.
To produce and distribute information about the doctors in training education programmes and to communicate changes to clinical staff and trainees in a timely way.
To coordinate documentation regarding attendance at training courses and events and provide data to trainees, clinical staff and outside bodies.
To collate information for quality assurance purposes as required by the Director of Medical Education, Postgraduate Medical Education Team Lead and outside bodies.
