This job is now closed
Job summary
An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to lead and provide the Health component in the Hampshire Willow Team alongside multi-agency partners. The Willow Team is a specialist multi-agency team dedicated to working with and reducing risk to children who are at the highest risk of being exploited.
The role is county wide and requires close working with a range of other professional roles including Police and Children's Services colleagues. Willow sits within the Hampshire Children's Services system and is part of the 'Front Door' MASH Service.
Based in MASH, Parkway, Fareham, you will need to be flexible in meeting the needs of the service.
You will work collaboratively alongside children, young people and their families within an often complex and challenging caseload. You will bring excellent risk assessment skills, care planning and decision making with an experienced clinical background that understands the need to safeguard children and young people at risk of being exploited. You will be able to work within a trauma informed approach.
The Willow and wider MASH environment is fast-paced and requires high levels of resilience to manage the competing daily workflow. If you think you have the necessary skills and experience to lead on this exciting opportunity then please do apply.
Main duties of the job
As well as being an integral part of the Willow Team you will also have strong links with the Hampshire Health MASH and Southern Health Safeguarding Clinical Support Team who will provide you with professional support and require you to contribute to the wider safeguarding agenda across Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. This may, therefore, require you to travel to other Southern Health sites as required so being a car driver is essential. Experience of interpreting data and providing high quality reports is essential along with the ability of communicating with external partners, such as commissioners. Engaging with audit and training you will be committed to embedding learning into practice to improve service outcomes. Part of this role is to co-design and deliver training in relation to your work in the Willow Team.
