Job summary
This is an excellent and exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated podiatrist to join our progressive team with a key focus on providing musculoskeletal (MSK) podiatry. You will be involved in the assessment and planning of individual patient care, together with orthotic provision, and work both independently and as part of a team, so good diagnostic, communication and team building skills are essential.
The successful candidate will also be involved in diabetic foot protection clinics and the acute diabetic foot multidisciplinary team together with wound care management. There are opportunities to take part in nail surgery, audit and service development initiatives. We also support patients and services through education talks.
You will work alongside experienced podiatrists and encouraged in your professional development. Indeed, we are committed to CPD and promoting evidence-based practice and a high standard of care throughout the service. We offer an individual training fund, regular 1:1 clinical supervision meetings, peer review and in-house CPD to support the development of our staff.
You will have excellent established clinical skills and experience of treating patients with a wide variety of podiatric MSK and long-term conditions, especially those with high-risk clinical needs, and there is an emphasis on wound management. Our aim is to deliver excellent quality care to patients in order to maintain mobility and independence.
Main duties of the job
*To assess, diagnose, develop and implement treatment plans for patients with MSK lower limb and foot pathology.
*To manufacture orthoses.
