Job summary
This is a new post to increase the level of medical
support in the Learning Disability Service.
The Trusts Durham and Tees Valley Learning Disability
Service provides specialised community and inpatient services to adults with a
learning disability alongside a range of health and social care partners.
The post also contains protected
time for a special interest, such as medical education.
Main duties of the job
You will provide a timely
and high-quality psychiatric service as part of the community learning disability
team. You will provide initial assessment and ongoing reviews for adults with a
learning disability who are open to the clinical team. You will provide such assessments
in team bases and community settings as appropriate. You will attend
formulation meetings, team meetings and leadership meetings as agreed in your job
plan. You will work under an appropriate level of clinical supervision for your
level of experience.

- Approved under S12 of MHA OR able to achieve within 6 months of appointment.
