We are delighted to
advertise this post as consultant psychiatrist in community adult mental health based at Stewart House, Hartlepool. This post is full-time but we would welcome conversations with
potential applicants regarding flexible working options. It is a post which
offers variety, clinical challenge and strong team working. Successful
applicants would join a motivated, experienced and supportive
multi-disciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
The Consultant will provide committed, proactive
and responsible leadership working with the CMHT, mainly the responsibilities
will be of patients of affective disorders, patients in Access, and patients in
hub.
The Consultant will attend the Daily huddle and
weekly supercell meetings where decisions are made about patient care and the
management plan.
The Consultant will undertake assessments for
new patients and follow up and review old patients by engaging with the Model
Line process, the Consultant will also provide a diagnosis and treatment plan
The Consultant will attend and fully contribute
to formulation meetings and CPA review meetings
The Consultant will provide consultation and
advice on a daily basis to the team, and review patients as required
The Consultant will be expected to have
familiarity with all important, relevant legislation affecting the Adult Mental
Health population.
The Consultant will act as Responsible Clinician
for patients on a Community Treatment Order within the team
The Consultant will be responsible for Mental
Health Act Assessments in the community and very occasional Section 136
assessments.
The Consultant will be expected to provide
appropriate supervision to Junior Medical Staff and Non-Medical Prescribers in
the team
The post holder will be expected to liaise with
other community and inpatient teams and Consultants
