Job summary

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and motivated B7 Clinical Psychologist to join the North Durham CMHT.

The post holder will provide assessment and treatment to adults aged 18 upwards, we are a committed team providing a psychology lens to our teams practice and development. You will have opportunity to work alongside a wide variety of professionals.

We invite applications from suitably qualified Clinical Psychologists. The successful candidate will be registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council.

Main duties of the job

Our team includes psychologist, specialist therapists, nurses, psychiatrists, social workers, peer workers and administrators. Therefore, the ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team is a requirement.

The post holder will provide evidence based assessment and treatment interventions as part of the mental health pathways, and offer input to individuals, their families and carers in a clinic setting. The candidate will also provide supervision and support to the team in developing our practice.

You will be expected to have the necessary skills and experience to undertake direct clinical work with adults and offer clinical supervision and consultation, contribute to service evaluation, as well as manage the demands of service development and change. Candidates should be skilled psychological professionals with excellent interdisciplinary working skills and interested in contributing to the development of an innovative service.
