An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Senior Children's Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) to join our Getting Help Team in South Durham CAMHS.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will work within the CAMHS South Durham Getting Help Team, supporting the Children's Well-being Practitioner's that work with children and families in the local area. They will need to offer both clinical and caseload supervision, alongside delivering interventions at a high-quality; brief outcome focused evidence-based interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
Working as a part of a multi-disciplinary team and liaising closely with other agencies you will assess, plan and implement care for children with mental health needs.
The post holder will be supported to attend continuing professional development sessions and link in with the university training programme for current and future CWP's.

Qualifications/Experience
Essential
- Successfully completed British Psychological Society (BPS) Accredited or Higher Education England (HEE) Approved academic course of study in line with the CYP IAPT Low Intensity National Programme and will be qualified as a Children's Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP)
- Professional registration as a Children's Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) with an appropriate regulatory body (e.g. British Psychological Society (BPS) or British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP)
- Completed, or currently be undertaking the CWP/EMHP supervisor (PG Certificate or CPD) or Senior Wellbeing Practitioner G/PG Diploma training programme, provided by one of the nationally commissioned training providers, which provides eligibility to supervise Trainee CWPs and qualified CWPs in line with their registration requirements
- Substantial evidence of Continuing Professional Development as a CWP
