The Harrogate, Hambleton and Richmondshire Perinatal Team is delighted to be able to offer the opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join our specialist Perinatal Mental Health Community Team as a Community Support Worker.
The post will include supporting birthing people with all aspects of their mental health care including physical health monitoring for medication, co-facilitating groups and supporting the wider multi-disciplinary team with aspects of their care.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidates will work as a member of the community perinatal multi-disciplinary team providing a service to birthing people & families experiencing mental health difficulties in pregnancy and up to 1 year postnatal.
You will be a valuable part of the service and support needs for birthing people and their families, working with a supportive team of nurses, doctors, occupational therapists, peer support workers, support workers, nursery nurses, pharmacists and psychologists.
You will receive individual and group clinical supervision, as well as regular safeguarding supervision, line management supervision and personal and professional development through the appraisal process.
Due to the nature of the role and the large geographical area covered, it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. If necessary, adjustments can be considered in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.
