Information:

This job is now closed

Job summary

We are looking for a Consultant Applied Psychologist or Psychological Therapist, trained as a CAT Supervisor, to job share for one day a week with the existing Trust Lead for CAT. If you do not currently meet the criteria for an 8c role, this role could be offered as an 8b developmental post with support to complete a masters in research.

This opportunity has arisen due to one of the existing job holders leaving the trust. You will be required to provide clinical leadership, governance and direction in the continual development and provision of cognitive analytic therapy across the Trust, both as a therapy and contextual/organisational use.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for applicants with passion for the contextual/organisational use of CAT. The development of relational thinking and reflective practice across the Trust will be a key responsibility, including strategic and operational development in order to support staff at every level of the organisation.

About us

TEWV has a large, established network of CAT Practitioners, CAT locality leads and supervisors, and you will support and lead this network with regard to CPD, supervision arrangements, governance, and service evaluation. The post reports to the Chief Psychological Professions Officer under the Director of Therapies and alongside the other Governed Psychological Therapy, and Psychological Professions leads.

Psychologists & Psychological Therapists provide key leadership roles within the Trust. To support this we have developed leadership profiles for each psychology band and the profile card associated with this post is attached on NHS Jobs. You can find more information about the NHS Leadership Academy's Healthcare Leadership Model and the profiles at their website. We encourage you to look at these resources as they will play a part in the interview process.
