Job summary

An exciting opportunity for a Senior Administrator has arisen. The main responsibilities of the role will be to provide full administrative support to the Team manager and the NYY&S Intensive Support Team.

Excellent communication skills are essential as the successful applicant will be the first point of contact to the team as well as the necessity to maintain confidentiality, have the ability to work to tight deadlines, use your own initiative and carry out a multitude of tasks with limited supervision.

Main duties of the job

To provide a comprehensive, confidential administrative support service to the team.

To be aware of work priorities and needs of self and manager to ensure all required deadlines are met.

To ensure continued professional development through accessing relevant training as agreed with line manager and the service requirements of the organisation.

Responsible for the provision of an administrative service for the team ensuring that timely, accurate work is produced to deadline and work of a highly confidential, sensitive nature is handled with discretion, tact and compassion.

  • BTEC Diploma/Level 3 Diploma in Leadership and Management OR equivalent (i.e. NVQ in Business Administration / RSA Level 3) OR equivalent knowledge gained through relevant work experience plus a willingness to work towards the Level 5 in Leadership and Management within an agreed timescale
  • IT Qualification (i.e. ECDL Qualification, RSA, NVQ in Business Administration) OR equivalent knowledge gained through relevant work experience.
  • Key skills/functional skills in literacy and numeracy Level 2 OR O Level (Grade C and above) / New GCSE in Maths and English (Grade 4 to 9)

  • Implementing and maintaining systems and processes within an administration team
  • Leading, supervising and training staff on administrative processes in a positive manner to facilitate delivery of an effective service
  • Significant experience of working in an administrative environment including digital audio typing, Microsoft Office applications, diary management, filing systems, collating and presenting information
