Based within the Estates and Facilities Directorate and more specifically within Hotel Services the Hotel Services Support Supervisor role is an operational role responsible for the day to day management of Hotel Services staff including housekeepers, domestics, porters, catering, reception, store men, couriers and post room staff.
You will need to be passionate and enthusiastic about patient care putting patients at the heart of everything you do. You will be working in a multi-professional team and will need to be able to think on the spot and be empathetic. You will be passionate about our business, creating a culture of continuous improvement.
You should be highly motivated, reliable, and flexible.
Main duties of the job
An opportunity (fixed term - 12 months) has arisen for a passionate, friendly and enthusiastic individual to work as a Hotel Services Support Supervisor within the Trusts Hotel Services Team .
Hotel Services Support Supervisor are responsible for the day to day management of Hotel Services staff including housekeepers, domestics, porters and receptionists, who provide and maintain a high standard of soft services support, cleanliness and the provision of food. As a Hotel Services Support Supervisor you will work as part of the Operational Services Team to provide a clean, safe, supportive environment in which patients can recuperate.
Experience of using IT software ie Microsoft Office .
Candidates must be able to demonstrate continued professional development and in addition to key skills a willingness to achieve Numeracy and Literacy level 2 within an agreed timescale. You should also possess a NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject (or willingness to achieve Level 3 within agreed timescale) and a Food Safety Certificate to level 2 with willingness to achieve Level 3 .
The post holder will be based at Lanchester Road Hospital in Durham and will be required to work shifts varying between the hours of 06:45am - 6.15pm inclusive of early/late, week-ends and bank holidays.
