Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced clinician to take on the role of an Independent Non-Medical Prescriber to help develop and support clinical pathways in the Hartlepool CAMHS Getting More Help Team. The role will involve Independent Prescribing for Children and Young People with a diagnosis of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). The post holder will also provide support with the assessment and formulation of ADHD. Applicants will need to demonstrate current prescribing for children and young people with ADHD along with evidence of clinical expertise in working with Children and young people with neurodevelopmental and mental health conditions.
Main duties of the job
Experience of working with families is essential
The post holder must hold a non-medical prescriber qualification and have current registration as a Mental Health Nurse.
Independently initiating and monitoring the prescription of ADHD treatment in children and young people as per NICE guidelines
Contributing to the assessment and formulation of ADHD in children and young people

The successful applicant will need to be enthusiastic and highly motivated with extensive experience in their field to be able to deliver care for our patients in a community setting.
We provide access to high quality, clinical supervision within the team and also access to specialist supervision.

- Current Professional Registration with Nursing and Midwifery Council - RMN / RNLD/ RGN (RNSC - CAMHS Only)
- Non Medical Prescriber Level 2
- Recognised Practice Assessor/Practice Supervisor or currently in progress of achieving.
- Trained in Clinical Supervision and providing Clinical Supervision or in the process of achieving
- Postgraduate diploma in a subject relevant to the area Or be willing to work towards and achieve within 2 years and
- Within the first year of being in post hold a recognised qualification in a governed therapy/advanced clinical qualification e.g Intermediate Systemic Family Therapy/Post Grad diploma in CBT/British Isles Dialectical Behaviour Therapy /NMP (Independent Prescriber)
- And have Equivalent clinical experience to that of a Post Grad Diploma/master's level such as working as a band 6 (or above) in relevant clinical area with significant experience (see below under experience), together with evidence of relevant CPD
