Job summary
The role involves providing mental health services within Teesside Acute Hospitals to individuals, including both working-age adults and older adults, with complicated and complex needs. This includes offering direct clinical care and conducting assessments, as well as supervising and developing other team members. The role is backed by a clinical team comprising psychiatrists, psychologists, and associate nurse consultants. Operating on a 24/7 basis, the service requires flexibility, with the expectation that the role will cover day shifts from 08:00 to 20:00 across seven days to meet service needs.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will utilise their advanced specialist knowledge of theory relating to the psychological, biological, social and cultural issues which influence mental health, mental illness, mental resilience and interventions to aid recovery, in order to provide advanced clinical practice, leadership and clinical development of other staff. They will work collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary Liaison Psychiatry leadership team developing shared goals, complimenting the roles of others to support and maintain team growth and continuous improvement.

- Current Professional Registration with Nursing and Midwifery Council - RMN / RNLD/ RGN (RNSC - CAMHS Only)
- Recognised Practice Assessor/Practice Supervisor or currently in progress of achieving.
- Trained in Clinical Supervision and providing Clinical Supervision or in the process of achieving
- Postgraduate diploma in a subject relevant to the area Or be willing to work towards and achieve.
- Within the first year of being in post hold a recognised qualification in a governed therapy/advanced clinical qualification e.g Intermediate Systemic Family Therapy/Post Grad diploma in CBT/British Isles Dialectical Behaviour Therapy /NMP (Independent Prescriber)
- AND HAVE Equivalent clinical experience to that of a Post Grad Diploma/master's level such as working as a band 6 (or above) in relevant clinical area with significant experience (see below under experience), together with evidence of relevant CPD
