Job summary

Responsible for the provision of safe, high quality and efficient hotel services to patients, carers, staff and visitors to Trust sites on a day to day basis.Responsible for the day to day management of Hotel Services staff including housekeepers, domestics, porters, catering, reception, storemen, couriers and post room staff.Responsible for monitoring standards and taking corrective action as necessary.To show commitment to and participate in quality improvement activities.To interact compassionately with service users and carers at all times. Service users have a range of mental health conditions or learning disabilities.To promote at all times a positive image of people with mental health conditions and learning disabilities.To promote at all times a positive image of Hotel Services and the wider Trust.

Main duties of the job

An opportunity has arisen for a passionate, friendly and enthusiastic individual to work as a Hotel Services Catering Supervisor within the Trusts Hotel Services Team. Hotel Services Catering Supervisor will be responsible for the day to day management of the in house coffee shops and eating disorder kitchen, Hotel Services catering staff provide and maintain a high standard of soft services support, including cleanliness and the provision of food. This post involves shift work including late/early shifts. You will be required to work different varying shifts between the hours of 07.00am - 6.00pm.The post you are applying for is 37.5 hours per week permanent post and your base will be Acklam Road, Middlesbrough, TS5 4EE. You may be required to work in different locations within the service covering the following areas York, Teesside, Durham and Darlington. You should be highly motivated, reliable, flexible and willing to work at short notice. Substantial experience supervising/coaching staff on a day to day basis. Experience using IT software ie Microsoft Office, cash handling and till systems. Experience of working in a mental health environment would be appreciated along with a passion to providing high standards of customer service.

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject
  • Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 with willingness to achieve Level 3 and Level 4 within agreed timescale
