Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Registered Dietitian to join our already established Adult Mental Health (AMH) team in the Teesside area. We are looking for a motivated Dietitian wanting to expand and develop their skills or learn new skills in a mental health setting.
It is not essential that you have experience in the field of mental health care to apply for this post and you will be supported to gain skills within this area. A working knowledge of behaviour change, and motivational interviewing would also be desirable but again can be supported to develop these skills.
Main duties of the job
The post covers both inpatients and community settings, thereby providing the successful candidate with the opportunity to learn, develop and have a positive impact along the whole patient journey.
The post holder will work with people with a variety of clinical conditions including nutrition support, refeeding syndrome, disordered eating, and weight management.
Alongside the clinical aspect of the post, there will be opportunity to participate in non-clinical work for example, policy development, audit, research activities, pathway development and staff training.
We are part of a wider dietetic team which covers Older Adults, Children and Young people, Eating disorders, Learning disabilities and Secure inpatient services (formally forensic). We are supported by our Professional Head of Dietetic Services and several highly skilled Lead Dietitians.
We are actively involved in student training, offering their full range of student experiences and you will be supported to become part of the student training team.

The TEWV Dietetic Team are a friendly team and offer a robust clinical and management supervision structure and support and promote continued professional training and development. We offer a preceptorship/competence framework and provide regular Band 5 peer support sessions as well as speciality CPD opportunities.
There are clinical specialist meetings to discuss and engage in ongoing development and CPD.
