There is an opportunity for an 8c Consultant Psychologist-Therapy Lead roles, covering the north Yorkshire area, the post is 0.6 WTE and the base negotiable
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will join at a critical time of organisational restructure and will be part of a collective leadership team across the adult learning disabilities health services. The role will support psychology professions and wider AHP services during this period of change and influence the development of services this brings to enhance service user, carer and staff experiences and in working collaboratively with local partners to improve the quality of the care we provide. There will be opportunity to influence projects of local and national interest. Community transformation brings new opportunities to ensure services are accessible and responsive to the needs of adult with severe mental health problems, including access to evidence based psychological therapies.
The post holder will have clinical, leadership and wider service development/research responsibilities. Clinically they will be continue to work within their clinical multidisciplinary team/services. As part of a collective leadership team, they will be responsible for maintaining safe, effective and compassionate care for patients, families and carers accessing services and to promote cultures of quality improvement.

Essential
- Post-graduate training (doctoral level equivalent) in clinical / counselling / forensic psychology (or its equivalent prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS
- Post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice
- Trained in clinical supervision and the supervision of doctoral trainees
- HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist
- Evidence of continuing professional development

- Significant experience working in AMH services
- Liaison and joint working with statutory, voluntary and private sector agencies
- Project management of quality and service improvement initiatives.
- full clinical responsibility for clients' psychological care as a care co-ordinator and leader of a multidisciplinary team.
