Job summary

An exciting opportunity for an Applied Psychologist has arisen to join the East Integrated Community Mental Health Team based in Northallerton. We are an Adult Mental Health Service who provide assessment and treatment including psychological wellbeing interventions, DBT, CAT, EMDR and CBT.

The post would be suitable for a newly qualified or more experienced candidate with an interest in Adult Mental Health and enthusiasm for working with complex individuals and systems.

Psychologists provide key leadership roles within the Trust and you will become part of the existing leadership team including the Team Manager, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Highly Specialised Psychologist and Consultant Psychiatrist. Main duties of the job

The post holder will have a key role in providing psychological assessments as well as a therapeutic, consultative and advisory service in relation to adults with mental health difficulties , their families and carers, according to identified clinical need. In addition to direct clinical work, providing consultation and where necessary clinical supervision to other team members in regard to patients is an important element of the role.

Applicants should have experience in working within community services and show strong patient-centred values. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, motivated, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering excellent mental health care and evidence based interventions. Opportunities to develop special interests and co-work will be encouraged, as will opportunities to undertake service development activities.
