Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic, and highly motivated Higher Assistant Psychologist to work with the TEWV Trustwide Autism Service. This is a full-time, permanent post and offers the successful candidate an opportunity to work both clinically and at a service development level.
The successful applicant must have a good honours degree in psychology. Significant experience of working with autistic people (children, young people or adults) is essential for this post, as is experience of working in a mental health setting. You must be motivated, possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
Main duties of the job
Working under the supervision of a Consultant Clinical Psychologist he role involves (as a minimum):
Working for the Trustwide Autism Service across all specialties in the Trust as well as corporate services to ensure that all autistic children, young people and adults have access to an equitable, reasonably adjusted service from TEWV.
Developing training materials relevant to the reasonable adjustment workshops delivered by the service with particular reference to inpatient services.
Supporting the delivery of autism awareness training across all specialties within the Trust
Working with experts by experience to support co-production
Collecting data across a range of activities, analysis and presentation of this data to inform the development of the Service
Attending MDT meetings as appropriate.
