Job summary

Tees, Esk & Wear Valleys NHS FT have an exciting opportunity for a very senior therapies clinician to contribute to the clinical and strategic development of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and Adult Learning Disability Services, across North Yorkshire, York and Selby. This post is open to applicants from the full range of the therapies clinical professions employed by TEWV, ie Psychological Professions, Allied Health Professions and/or Social Worker clinical backgrounds. The post holder will have 0.6 wte dedicated to clinical leadership and 0.4 wte dedicated to a clinical caseload. The post holder will understand and oversee the delivery of Therapy Services within a care group locality (North Yorkshire York & Selby) and within a combination of specialties (CAMHS & LD) in partnership with the Director of Therapies, the Group Directors of Therapies, Professional Heads and therapies professional leads within the localities and specialties.

Main duties of the job

The Associate Directors of Therapies work at a senior collective level of leadership within the organisation, with the purpose of being the nexus between specialism and locality. With the premise that decision making is devolved and that leadership is there to cultivate the talents of those within the Care Group, to optimise the quality of care and to ensure that the strategy of the Trust is delivered.

They are responsible for supporting the Care Group Director of Therapies with the delivery of the trust strategy and the business plan, supporting service transformation and service delivery to achieve quality standards and embedding co-production with service users and carers.
