Main duties of the job

You'll work within a supportive, forward thinking team, delivering speech and language therapy to children and young people across a range of settings including:

  • Schools and nurseries
  • Hospitals and community clinics
  • Homes and virtual platforms

Our team comprises of specialist and locality based teams with readily available support and supervision.

You will have a designated base in one of our localities and will deliver the service in that location.

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in SLT recognised by RCSLT, and a Certificate to Practice.
  • Registered member of Health Professions Council

Experience

  • Experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist
  • Experience of working as a member of a Team and in schools

Skills

  • Ability to analyse and make informed judgements required for the assessment of clients and selection of appropriate management strategies
  • Able to demonstrated high level problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage own time, prioritise tasks and to work independently

Knowledge

Essential

  • Knowledge of current national drivers and clinical guidelines, relating to children with speech, language and communication difficulties.
