Job summary
To provide comprehensive admin support to the Clinical Services Administrators within the clinical specialty.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will be responsible for typing of clinic correspondence using the Trust's audio transcription system. Duties will also include dealing with telephone enquiries, booking appointments and filing.

Qualifications & Training
Essential
- GCSE at grade C or above in Mathematics, or Key Skills at level 2 in Numeracy (or equivalent)
- GCSE at grade C or above in English Language, or Key Skills at level 2 in Literacy (or equivalent)
Desirable
- NVQ at level 2 or above in Business Administration (or equivalent).
- Typing or word processing qualification
- IT qualification
Experience
Essential
- Secretarial and administrative experience
- Clerical work involving computerised systems
- Use of digital audio transcription systems
- Good working knowledge of Windows based computer systems and be proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office applications
- Experience of dealing with members of the public
Desirable
- Medical terminology experience
- Secretarial/administrative experience in a healthcare environment
- Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team
- Knowledge of the NHS and the Trust's systems and structures
