Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for in-depth preparation, maintenance and review of complex medical staffing rotas in Paediatric and Obs and Gynae to ensure that service delivery is optimised and that all clinical sessions are fully utilised with the most appropriate staffing which ensures cost effectiveness and spend remains within budget, reporting issues of concern to the Senior Management Team.
The post holder will be responsible for the educational administration of all Women & Children's and Paediatric trainee medical staff and day to day operational management of the Paediatric and Obs and Gynae rota making for the care group.
Oversee the processes for the educational requirements and WACS and Paediatric trainees including the management of rotational changes for Foundation and Deanery trainees and ensuring that Educational Supervisor meetings take place as and when required and that any actions arising from these meetings are followed up.
Manage and monitor the hours worked by and the appropriate supervision of medical trainees to ensure compliance with the European Working Time Directive, compliance with job plans and correct payment of clinical sessions / overtime by overseeing weekly duty rotas and on-call rotas, reporting issues to the Service Manager / General Manager and Clinical Director.
The post holder will be responsible for providing an efficient, effective and comprehensive administrative for key staff within Healthy Lives (WACS and Paediatrics)
