Job summary

**the candidate must have previous experience in the NHS in an acute setting and ideally hold or be working towards BHRS accreditation **

To provide essential specialist expertise in Cardiac Rhythm management. This post will require flexible working within the Trust, working will be based at the North Tees site, but will be required to work at Hartlepool in the community at the new Stockton Community Diagnostic Centre or any trust site as required.

Previous experience of device clinics in an acute NHS trust is essential.

Opportunity has arisen to join the cardiac rhythm management team in the Cardiac Investigations Unit (CIU) at NT&HPFT. There will also be opportunity for collaborative working with South Tees cardiology. candidates may be required to work cross site

The CIU provides a range of non- invasive services such as; ambulatory monitoring , device follow up and Echo. The unit works closely with the Cardiology Day unit which carries out invasive angiography, device implants and cardioversions.

Main duties of the job

To work cross site as a professional senior cardiac physiologist providing an efficient and effective specialist clinical service within the field of Cardiology ensuring high standards of patient care.

Perform and supervise a range of diagnostic cardiac investigations providing accurate information aiding diagnosis and treatment. Interpret evaluate and report patients test results, such as ambulatory ECG's.

Operate specialist equipment and ensure accurate and reliable test results, providing technical leadership to ensure high standards of patient care.

Work independently and be able to supervise and troubleshoot in the cardiac catheter lab in procedures such as but not limited to coronary angiography and pacemaker implants.

To be a role model in leadership creating an inclusive and compassionate culture for the Trust.Liaise with other physiologists to facilitate a seamless programme of care to patients and service to medical staff.

Demonstrate regular formal evaluation and participation in QA.

Take a lead in mentoring the degree students
