To support ongoing work within the Pharmacy department we are delighted to offer the post of Chief Technician.
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic proven leader who has extensive Pharmacy Technician and leadership experience and who will complement our established and valued teams. You will have improvement and development experience to help drive forward development of our service.
We are looking for somebody with excellent communication, organizational and time management skills who can demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
The successful applicant will professionally lead our team of technicians and pharmacy assistants across our organization. The post will be a key member of the pharmacy senior leadership team and represent the service at all levels within the organisation.
Main duties of the job
This post is a new and exciting opportunity to provide senior clinical leadership and expertise to our dynamic and progressive pharmacy technical team. This role will be responsible for overseeing clinical, operational, informatics and education and training aspects of technical services. This role will work very closely with all of the Pharmacy Senior Leadership Team to drive service improvement across the Pharmacy department and organisation to deliver the departmental vision and strategy.

To provide strategic leadership and vision into the development of the pharmacy department
To ensure that the Pharmacy Department develops in line with national standards and guidelines and to implement recommendations and legislation
To be a positive role model and provide a high profile level of leadership whilst empowering others to deliver their objectives and goals
To provide leadership in the development of all pharmacy services through membership of the Senior Leadership Team
