Applications are invited for a Trust Registrar

The Paediatric Service is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Trust Registrar to work full time at the North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust.

The Trust is committed to working in partnership with colleagues in the Tees Valley Integrated Care Partnership and wider North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care System. As such, the team will work as part of a wider network at times to strengthen care pathways and support ongoing workforce development.

The post is a permanent post

Doctors should be fully registered with the General Medical Council and comply, in particular, with the GMC's guidance on 'Good Medical Practice'. The candidate shall have had at least 2 years post graduate training experience and at least 6 months experience in Neonatology or shall have equivalent experience and competencies. A post graduate qualification DCH, DCCH or MRCP/MRCPCH is desirable. A firm grounding in neonatal care and general Paediatrics is required.

Main duties of the job

This post is for 40 hours per week with out of hours duties for middle grade on call. Duties include outpatients,

The successful candidate is also expected to provide cover on weekends as on-call

The post holder will also be able to attend General Paediatric Clinic/ neonatal high risk clinic. There will be opportunity to attend teaching and training sessions. Development of a special interest will be encouraged.

Job responsibilities

This post will play an active role in all aspects of the Paediatric team commitments, including participation on the middle grade rota.The post holder will be expected to participate educational and research activities within the department.The post holder should be fully registered with the General Medical Council (London) and comply, in particular, with the GMCs guidance on Good Medical Practice.The applicant must have a minimum of two years post-graduate training experience and:- At least six months experience in Paediatrics/Neonatology or equivalent experience andcompetencies.- A post-graduate qualification DCH, DCCH or MRCP/MRCPCH is desirable. A firm grounding in neonatal care and general Paediatrics is required.The post holder will also be able to attend General Paediatric Clinics and Neonatal High Risk clinics.There will be opportunity to attend teaching and training sessions.
