Applications are invited for the post of Trust Doctor at North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work with our exciting and enthusiastic Medicine team across acute/ front of house areas and acute inpatient wards. We have proactive multidisciplinary approach within the department to facilitate assessment, rapid discharge and rehabilitation.
Main duties of the job
The Trust Grade Doctor will, depending on formal responsibilities at any one time, undertake the following duties:
To assist in the provision of the In Hospital Care directorate service through ward based patient care under the supervision of the senior medical team.
Take an equal part in the General Medicine on call rota.
Take responsibility for own actions and decisions within the empowerment limits agreed by the Lead Consultant and Clinical Director.
Participate in consultant or registrar led ward rounds and undertake the jobs required thereafter.
Participate in running of the acute medical clinic.
Participate in assessment of patients presenting to Emergency Admissions Unit and Assessment areas.
Contribute to the development of services and staff.
Contribute to the departmental audit and clinical governance.
Perform any other duties that are considered necessary for the efficient working of the service and which are mutually agreed to be relevant to the post as the pattern of service evolves.
Take part in education activities.
Required to cover for colleagues during normal periods of leave.
