Job summary
Our busy Pathology Department would welcome applications for a Clerical Officer to join our team. We have an exciting opportunity for a part time - 2 day per week post. The role will be varied and will work as part of a team who deliver an excellent administration and secretarial service. We would welcome hard-working applicants who have good IT, organisation, accuracy and communication skills. In return we can off the opportunity to develop experience and skills in all areas of the administration team. We will provide training to all systems used for this role.
Main duties of the job
To support sending laboratory block samples to other sites by preparing the information (cross checking data), packing up samples, arranging to send the parcels, and updating spreadsheet records to record each stages.
Answering telephone and email queries, taking messages, passing on information.
Scanning information and updating systems with the scanned records.
