Special Care Baby Unit Ward Matron

Job summary

We have a development opportunity for the Ward Matrons position on the Special Care Baby Unit at North Tees on a permanent basis

The right candidate will have experience of neonates , working with babies and their families and an awareness of standards and guidance relating to the area. They will also be able to demonstrate the core values of the trust in their everyday working.

The special care baby unit works closely with both maternity and paediatric services to deliver high quality, safe care and shared working on many local, regional and national improvement projects.

Main duties of the job

To have responsibility for the management and provision of high quality, safe care delivery on the special care baby unit at all times through effective clinical leadership.

You will provide expertise and advice in neonates to the senior nursing team as part of paediatric service development and in collaboration with obstetrics, working and leading on a number of quality improvement projects.
