Payroll and Pensions Systems Officer

Job summary

Due to maternity leave of the current post holder, the post of Payroll and Pensions Systems Officer has become available. We are asking for a temporary 12 month full time (37.5 hours per week) B5 but due to future department need, we can appoint to the role on a permanent basis at 30 hours per week. The applicant must have extensive systems knowledge, with advanced excel skills and familiarity with ESR and ESRBI reporting.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be the systems analyst for the ESR Payroll System and other electronic information systems at a local level as part of the Payroll, Pensions and Systems team. Investigating complex queries and providing assistance and advice to the finance and other terms with regard to web EDI and ADI and other electronic processes. Providing an efficient customer focused service to internal and external clients. Duties include to work accurately and reliably within accounting timetables for financial services, and to provide support and information to HR colleagues, managers and employees as required. The post holder is responsible for the processing of the payroll information and running the monthly payrolls, whilst adhering to trust policy and statutory policy and procedures.

To take responsibility alongside the Team Leader, for running the Trust monthly payrolls within the payroll deadlines, and ensuring all checking procedures are carried out, and all payroll processes are completed, balanced and forwarded to correct bodies within deadlines, i.e. HMRC.
