Job summary

We currently have a 30hpw 12 month fixed term opportunity for a Band 6 Physiotherapist within Orthopedics, based at the University Hospital of North tees. The successful applicant will be working across the orthopedic ward base, as well as day case units and orthopedic outpatients. The post holder will be responsible for their own caseload and the supervision of Band 5 staffs, Specialized Therapy Assistants as well as students.

The post holder will ideally have experience in working within Orthopedics, including knowledge of a range of conditions and post op protocols.

We are looking for dedicated health care professionals who is flexible in their approach and possess the aptitude to adapt quickly to new situations. In return we will provide you with an induction support, and the opportunity to develop with the guidance of experienced Senior staff. We actively support CPD and have a well established in service training programme. We pride ourselves on the friendliness of our service.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will work as part of the existing Orthopedic Therapy Team.

We currently provide a seven day service and this is an opportunity to join the senior therapy team structure. The successful candidate will work closely with all multidisciplinary team members to proactively assess and facilitate safe and timely discharges, providing clinical and non-clinical leadership.

  • Possess HCPC registration
  • Physiotherapy Degree

Desirable

  • Further relevant experience/ courses around working within orthopedics
  • Registered with professional body

  • Experience and knowledge of the provision/fitting of orthoses
