Main duties of the job
The post holder will work with leaders across the Trust, and beyond, to deliver activity that improves the services we provide and supports our commitment to developing our staff. The post-holder will promote learning and organisation development (OD) as an enabler of effective performance.
To commission, engage, design and deliver OD change management strategies, processes and interventions that support the Trust's ambition to provide 'excellence as standard'; to include initiatives which foster a high performance culture, where valuing learning, continuous improvement and diversity are the norm.
Work collaboratively with the Head of Culture, Leadership and OD to lead the development and delivery of OD activities across the organisation and represent the Trust with OD activities and initiatives across the wider health and social care system.
To support the People Strategy with achieving its vision and objectives including leadership, cultural development and embedding the customer care framework. Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that incorporate OD needs in a timely and cost-effective way. Work with the Workforce Business Managers to maximise the performance of teams through diagnostics of team dynamics, and through design and implementation of team building solutions.
To promote the organisational values and ensure they are embedded in all OD activities.

- Professional Qualification (such as CIPD) or equivalent post graduate experience in a specialist field related to Human Resources, OD, Health Promotion or other clinical discipline
- Educated to masters level or equivalent in a related discipline such as OD, Health Promotion, Human Resources or other Clinical Discipline
- Leadership qualification
Desirable
- Project management experience and/or qualification
- Accredited mediator
- Psychometric testing qualification such as Myers Brigg/Insights
Knowledge & Experience
Essential
- Experience of working in a large, complex and political organisation and delivering OD/engagement interventions in this context.
- Experience in design and delivery of specialist training sessions / programmes
- Experience of leading and managing staff with an awareness of serviced delivery and performance management
- Understanding of organisational culture on performance and productivity particularly management and leadership development
- Experience of quality improvement in relation to training delivery and using the principles in practice
