Ward Clerk - Harbledown Ward

Job summary

Our Hyper-Acute Stroke Unit (HASU) provides excellent standards of care for patients with a workforce that is passionate, dynamic and inclusive. As a Ward Clerk, you will support the Ward Manager with a range of administrative tasks to ensure that the unit runs efficiently. No two days will be the same and you will need to be proactive and flexible to work as part of our busy, friendly team of nursing, medical and allied health professionals.

Main duties of the job

- Updating and reviewing files- Making referrals and appointments- Reporting issues to appropriate corporate teams when necessary e.g. maintenance, IT- Answering phone calls and handling general queries- Updating computer systems- Arranging patient transportation- Ordering stationary and materials as required- General office tasks such as printing, filing, laminating- Welcoming visitors to the unit and helping to answer general questions
