Job summary
We are a friendly team and are looking to engage an experienced medical secretary with sound secretarial and excellent typing and interpersonal skills, to take on this role. The successful applicant will become an integral part of an efficient team providing an excellent secretarial and patient support service. A sound knowledge of medical terminology and experience in the use of hospital based IT systems would be an advantage, as well as an understanding of patient pathways.
Main duties of the job
To provide comprehensive administrative, clerical and audio typing to support Consultants, Registrars and the wider trauma and orthopaedic team.
Work in a team based secretarial service, providing support for each other and ensuring continuity of service.
Act as a person of liaison between patients, GPs, other staff and outside agencies.
