Job summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Band 5 Registered Nurse to join the new Endoscopy Alternative Pathway Team. This role supports a brand-new service that includes Trans Nasal Endoscopy, small and large bowel capsule procedures and aspects of the capsule sponge service. You will work as part of a team alongside Nurse Endoscopists, Specialist Nurses, and other members of the multi-disciplinary team, managing patient care throughout the diagnostic process and ensuring the service meets the highest standards of clinical care and efficiency
Main duties of the job
As a RN working within the Endoscopy Alternative Pathway Service, you will be assisting with the development of a new innovative service for the trust. A supportive training environment guided by a robust competency documentation will be provided. As a member of the alternative pathway team you will contribute to the safe delivery of patient's individual care within the service. There will also be opportunities to train in and support the Capsule Sponge aspect of the service.
The day to day duties include rotating within the pre-assessment, admission, procedure assistance, recovery and discharge of those patients who are having trans nasal endoscopy and bowel capsules.
