Main duties of the job
Responsible for the assessment of children and young people entering the Emergency Department, prioritisation of treatment, delivery of care and evaluation.
The post holder is expected to carry out all relevant forms of care without direct supervision and required to demonstrate procedures and to supervise qualified and/or unqualified staff.
As a Junior Sister / Charge Nurse the post holder may often be in-charge of the department on a shift basis.
