We have full time and part time opportunities for Registered Nurses within the Critical Care department at The Kent and Canterbury Hospital in Canterbury, Kent.
We pride ourselves on delivering consistently high standards of holistic care. This is reflected in our CQC reports, ICNARC data, performance metrics and feedback from patients, relatives and visitors to our unit.
We have a busy, mixed level unit admitting emergency and elective patients from a variety of specialties. These include Acute stroke, Urology, Vascular, Renal and Heamatology. We also have an HDU where we look after level 2 patients. We have 8 beds in total.

We are seeking enthusiastic, caring and self- motivated registered nurses who aspire to making a positive contribution to the care of critically ill patients.
Main duties of the job
Are you a newly qualified or already experienced in Critical Care nurse?
We will tailor an education package for you with our dedicated Critical Care Education team who will actively support and encourage your education & development.
In return for your commitment and hard work. The Critical Care Education team provides Band 5 nurses with an excellent, structured development programme, supporting individuals to gain the required skills, knowledge and lifelong learning to become excellent Critical Care nurses. There will also be the opportunity to access development opportunities with our links with Canterbury Christchurch University and the University of Greenwich.
