Fracture Clinic Administrator/Receptionist

Job summary

This job entails a dual role of administrative and receptionist work for the fracture clinic. The role will be shared with a colleague, alternating the work during the week.

Main duties of the job

Meet and greet patients and visitors in a friendly welcoming helpful way

Keeping patients and visitors informed of any delays

Attending patients as they arrive to clinic

Outcoming clinical attendance on Allscripts prior to patient leaving department, escalating problems at the time

Booking Transport

Booking into clinic appointments and rebooking further clinics

Maintain accuracy and legibility of patient records in accordance with trust policy

Input and update data on the computer system ensuring that clinics are cashed up at the end of each working day

Answer the telephone in a courteous and timely manner and acting on information

Ensure accuracy in giving and receiving messages

Assist with maintenance of stores and equipment with careful stock control

Contribute to note preparation for clinics

Maintain excellent and effective working relationships with all members of the multidisciplinary team

Ensure all people attending clinic are treated in a kind compassionate and courteous manner with caring conversations

Maintain patient confidentiality, privacy and dignity
