Job summary

To competently deliver clinical care, according to guidelines and protocols, to enable patients to safely progress through the inpatient pathway.

To effectively deliver delegated care, some of which would have previously been in the domain of registered professionals, under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.

Main duties of the job

Work under the supervision of a registered nurse implementing plans of care to ensure that patient's physical, social and psychological needs are met. ? Ensure privacy and dignity of patients is maintained at all times.

Contribute to Productive Ward initiative.

Minimise risk of harm to patients, staff and visitors by working according to risk management policies.

To undertake clinical skills, ensuring procedures are explained to patients in order to gain informed consent and involvement in care decisions, including: o Assist with admission and discharge procedures including the correct handling of patient's property
