Job summary
To update the Respiratory Co-ordinator on clinic capacity.
To appoint diagnostic outpatients from GP and Consultant referrals for appropriate investigations in order of clinical need.
Maintain a waiting list of patients waiting for investigations, who can't be appointed straight away.
Appoint extra clinics to help bring the waiting times down to be acceptable level.
Answering telephone queries and if necessary transferring calls to an appropriate member of staff.
To cover reception when needed.
To order office stationery when needed.
To undertake other clerical duties as required, appropriate to the grading.
Work within the constraints of the DATA Protection Act and attend all mandatory training as required.
To attend all in-house training courses as required, enabling the delivery of new service developments/changes.
Main duties of the job
KEY RESULT AREAS
To supervise the admin staff to provide high quality support to admin and clinical staff when needed.
To train admin staff on cancel and rebooking patients, putting patients on the waiting list, booking from the waiting list.
To provide support to the Respiratory Co-ordinator when needed.
To assist the Respiratory Co-ordinator with clinic maintenance and the DM01, when needed.
To have action plans in place regarding breach patients.
