This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nursing Associate to join Kings B ward. The Registered Nursing Associate is an essential role to support the nursing team to provide patient centered, safe and high-quality care.
As a compassionate and committed Nurse, you will provide safe and effective care to patients in one of a number of highly
skilled areas. You will become part of a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring the Trust delivers good patient outcomes
The role includes working within the nursing team to Acute surgical, busy and fast paced clinical environment. Kings B is 24 bedded wards for general and colorectal surgery patients, however you will be expected to care for patients with other specialities i.e. medical, Gastroenterology, Ear Nose Throat, Trauma and orthopaedic, Gynaecology, End of life etc.
The role requires specialised training and competency on Stoma care, special would management i.e. Negative wound Therapy, Naso-gastric tube insertion for drainage, Care of PICC line, Parental nutrition, enteral feed, specialised pain management i.e. Patient controlled analgesics (PCA), Epidural infusion, Perineural infusion.
Main duties of the job
As a Registered Nursing Associate (RNA), you will be an essential part of the healthcare team, supporting registered nurses and healthcare assistants to deliver high-quality care. You will play a crucial role in our acute care settings, providing holistic and person-centred care to patients. Under the supervision of registered nurses, you will work within your scope of practice, applying your knowledge and skills to care for patients across various clinical settings. You will support the nursing process and adhere to NMC standards, whilst enabling continuity of care and enhancing patient outcomes. Your role will be vital in managing patient caseloads, and contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the healthcare team.
