Job summary
The Cardiology Diagnostics Department is looking for a highly organised and motivated Pacemaker Co-ordinator to join their busy service at East Kent Hospitals.
Candidates should have a keen eye for detail and be able to continually prioritise their workload to meet the demands of the service. If this sounds like you then we would love to hear from you.
This post can be based at Either William Harvey Hospital in Ashford or the Queen Elizabeth Queen Mother Hospital in Margate
Main duties of the job
Act as first point of contact for the pacemaker and ICD service and deal effectively and courteously with all enquires from GPs, patients and other departments within the service and within the overall trust.
Prioritise workload, working on own initiative to ensure patients are seen in a timely fashion and in line with trust policies in respect of the Access targets.
Manage the appointments system on Allscripts PAS and Sunrise for all cardiac device follow up bookings in line with Trust and local booking times. Ensure all patients are managed as per Trust Assess policy.
Monitor on a weekly basis the demand for follow ups including remote monitoring, against the capacity available. Proactively manage waiting lists and ensure all available appointment slots are fully utilised by monitoring requests for annual leave and general availability of technical staff.
