Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and dynamic Senior Nurse with extensive experience, to play a key role in developing the Gastroenterology Services at East Kent Hospitals University Foundation Trust. The role will compromise working as part of the gastroenterology speciality nursing team and providing clinical support as well as leadership to the team alongside the nurse consultant. Also, to provide matron support to the Queen Elizabeth Queen Mother Hospital sitting under gastroenterology.
Main duties of the job
To ensure best practice within Infection Prevention and Control and Clinical Governance, to ensure all all areas monitor incidents and complaints are managed in a timely way and responded within Appropriate in time. To implement and evaluate nursing care throughout the service.
Ensure the highest standards of clinical care by providing leadership and support to professional and direct care staff working in Gastroenterology at William Harvey Hospital, Canterbury Hospital, Queen Elizabeth Queen Mother Hospital and the Gastroenterology outpatient Department.
To support and provider leadership to the IBD nursing specialist across the Gastroenterology service
To support and provider leadership to the Hepatology nursing specialist across the Gastroenterology service.
To provide a visible, accessible and authoritative clinical presence to enable staff, patients and their families access to assistance, advice and support.
